1. My boss needs a solution of 20 PPM Ni to run in a new instrument. I have 1000 ml of 6 M Ni(NO3)2. How much of the 20 PPM Ni solution will I be able to make?
2.Balance and write the products to the following neutralization reactions(assume reactions go to completion):
3.For the reaction:
Si(CH3)3(OH) + HOSi(C6H5)3 ® (CH3)3SiOSi(C6H5)3 + H2O
You have 35 kg of Si(CH3)3(OH) and 25 lbs of HOSi(C6H5)3. How much (CH3)3SiOSi(C6H5)3 + H2O can you make and what is the limiting reagent? Don't be intimidated by the somewhat complex looking compounds. The chemistry is really easy.
4.Balance and write the products to the decomposition of potassium bicarbonate.
5. You have 10 ml of 3.00 M solution of sulfuric acid and you add 16 cups of 1.8´ 10-2 M sodium hydroxide. Write out the reaction. What is the amounts in grams of all the products. What is the limiting reagent, and how much is left over of the reagent in excess?
